Font License Agreement (EULA)

Version 1.0 — effective September 29, 2026

This Font License Agreement ("Agreement") is a legal agreement between you ("Licensee") and Jackson Alves Studio Inc., a Florida corporation ("Licensor"), for the font software you purchase from jacksonalves.shop.

By purchasing, downloading, installing or using the Font Software, you agree to this Agreement. If you do not agree, do not purchase or use the Font Software.

1. Definitions

  • Font Software — the font files you license (in any format, including OTF, TTF, WOFF and WOFF2), together with any accompanying documentation, and any updates the Licensor provides.
  • Licensee — the individual or the single legal entity named on the order. If you purchase on behalf of a company or client, the Licensee is that company or client.
  • User — a person who uses the Font Software on a computer, whether an employee, contractor or freelancer working for the Licensee.
  • License Tier — the license size chosen at purchase:
License Tier Users Webfont pageviews per month
Freelancer 1 up to 10,000
Small Studio 2–5 up to 50,000
Company 6–15 up to 100,000
  • Pageview — each time a web page that displays the Font Software is loaded, including reloads.
  • Extended License — a separate written license, quoted on request, for uses not covered by this Agreement.

2. License grant

Subject to this Agreement and full payment, the Licensor grants the Licensee a non-exclusive, non-transferable, perpetual license to use the Font Software within the limits of the purchased License Tier. The license covers only the styles purchased.

The Font Software is licensed, not sold. All rights not expressly granted are reserved by the Licensor.

3. Desktop use

The Licensee may:

  • install the Font Software on computers used by the number of Users allowed by the License Tier;
  • use it to create text, graphics and designs for personal and commercial purposes, including print, packaging, signage, merchandise, social media, static images, and video content for the Licensee's own channels;
  • keep a backup copy for archival purposes.

4. Logos and trademarks

The Licensee may use the Font Software to create logos, wordmarks and other brand marks, and may register the resulting logo design as a trademark. This does not grant any right in the Font Software itself or its typeface design.

For a logo only, the Licensee may modify the outlines of the letters after they have been converted to vector shapes (for example, adjusting spacing, joining or reshaping letters). Any other modification of the Font Software is not permitted (see Section 8).

5. Web use

The Licensee may use the webfont formats (WOFF / WOFF2) on websites owned or controlled by the Licensee, through CSS @font-face linking, within the monthly pageview limit of the License Tier.

The Licensee must take reasonable steps to prevent the font files from being downloaded or used by others — for example, by not linking to them publicly and not storing them in public code repositories.

If a website exceeds the pageview limit, the Licensee must upgrade the license or contact the Licensor for an Extended License.

6. PDF and document embedding

The Licensee may embed the Font Software in PDF and similar electronic documents, provided the fonts are embedded in a non-editable way (print and preview only) and cannot be extracted from the document.

7. Uses that require an Extended License

The following are not covered by this Agreement and require an Extended License from the Licensor:

  • use by more than 15 Users;
  • embedding the Font Software in apps, games, software, operating systems or devices;
  • embedding the Font Software in ebooks and digital publications (ePub and similar);
  • broadcast, film, television and streaming productions;
  • advertising campaigns for large brands, or campaigns with national or international media distribution (such as TV, cinema, out-of-home, or paid digital campaigns across multiple markets). Licensees promoting their own business, or small local clients, do not need an Extended License for advertising;
  • web-to-print, print-on-demand and any product or service in which end users can select the Font Software to create their own content;
  • websites exceeding 100,000 pageviews per month;
  • sharing the Font Software with third parties who are not covered by the Licensee's License Tier;
  • exclusive use, or purchase of rights to the typeface design.

Service providers. The Licensee may give a copy of the Font Software to a printer or service bureau solely to output the Licensee's own files, provided they do not keep or use it for any other purpose.

8. Restrictions

Except as expressly allowed in this Agreement, the Licensee may not:

  • copy, distribute, share, sell, rent, lease, lend or sublicense the Font Software;
  • upload it to any service where others can access it, including file-sharing services and public repositories;
  • modify, adapt, translate, convert, decompile or reverse engineer the Font Software, or create derivative fonts from it (except the logo modifications in Section 4);
  • change the font names or remove copyright, trademark or license information from the files;
  • use the Font Software, its outlines, or text set in it to train, fine-tune or evaluate artificial intelligence or machine learning models, or to build tools that generate fonts;
  • use the Font Software in any way that infringes this Agreement or applicable law.

9. Ownership

The Font Software, the typeface design and all related intellectual property rights belong to the Licensor and are protected by copyright and other laws and treaties. The name of the typeface may be a trademark of the Licensor.

10. Upgrades and transfers

The Licensee may upgrade to a larger License Tier at any time by contacting the Licensor. The license may not be transferred to another person or entity without the Licensor's written consent. In the case of a merger or acquisition of the Licensee, the license may be transferred to the successor, provided it is used within the same License Tier.

11. No refunds

Because the Font Software is a digital product delivered immediately, and a free type tester is available on each product page to try the fonts before buying, all sales are final and non-refundable, except where refunds are required by applicable law. If you receive a defective file, contact the Licensor and it will be replaced.

12. Disclaimer of warranties

The Font Software is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. The Licensor does not warrant that the Font Software will be error-free or work with every application or device.

13. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Licensor will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, including loss of profits, data or business, arising from the use of or inability to use the Font Software. The Licensor's total liability under this Agreement will not exceed the amount the Licensee paid for the license.

14. Termination

This license ends automatically if the Licensee breaches any of its terms. Upon termination, the Licensee must stop using the Font Software and delete all copies. Designs and documents lawfully created before termination may continue to be used, unless they themselves breach this Agreement.

15. Governing law

This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Orange County, Florida, and both parties consent to their jurisdiction. Nothing in this section limits the rights of consumers under the mandatory laws of their country of residence.

16. General

  • This Agreement is the entire agreement between the parties regarding the Font Software and replaces any prior understanding.
  • If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
  • The Licensor may publish new versions of this Agreement. Each purchase is governed by the version in effect at the time of purchase, recorded on the order.
  • Failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of it.
